The Vodafone R207 by Huawei is a new mobile pocket Mobile Wi-Fi MiFi Hotspot broadband modem. This unit is an ultra-low cost mobile hotspot Wi-Fi dongle that can work with 3G and 4G mobile SIM cards, supporting HSPA Download speed of up to 21.6Mbps and Upload speed up to 5.76Mbps and battery that can last up to 5-6 hours. This Vodafone R207 can be managed with the Vodafone Web UI using a standard web browser on all major operating systems and with the Mobile WiFi Monitor app (iOS & Android).

Vodafone R207 can support up to 5 wireless devices to connect simultaneously.

How it works

With this new device you can set up your own secure Pocket Wi-Fi anywhere in your SIM card provider coverage with password protection. It's portable, wireless and battery powered, plus with one-touch setup you can share your broadband with up to 5 Wi-Fi devices quickly and easily. As long as your mobile phone, laptop, netbook or other device is Wi-Fi (802.11b and g) enabled, you will be able to connect to the internet through Pocket Wi-Fi.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BUY.

1. The R207 will not power up. How do I power it up?

Answer: The unit is powered on by pressing the power switch for around 10 seconds. Once it powers up, all the lights in the front panel should light up. The power button is the button on the far right from the SIM card slot.

2. The R207 will not recognise my SIM Card. Why?

Answer: This unit is unlocked and any SIM card will work with it. Please make sure that the SIM card active and that it is the BIG size SIM card and that it is inserted the correct way. If the SIM card is properly inserted and it Is active, you should see the blinking Blue or Green. If it is Red colour, it means the unit is not recognising the SIM card. Make sure it is inserted the right way and that it is active. Once the reception light is Blue or Green, then you can do the settings.

3. The R207 will now allow me go online even though I can connect to it by Wi-Fi. What do I do?

Answer:

Please note that you will need to set it up for the first time of use before it will connect to a 3G network and broadcast Wi-Fi. Please read the details of the advert on how to do it.

4. How do I charge the R207?

Answer: The unit will come with a Mini USB cable. You can charge the unit by connecting the USB cable to your PC and connecting it to the unit. Your PC should charge the unit. You can also use any Mini USB charger like that used by Samsung phones with Maximum of 5V (Volts) Once connected to charger, the unit battery light should light up red and turn green when fully charged.
